The original US series consisted of 24 books (including an Index book that was packed with reference guides, patterns etc.).The UK series was not a full reproduction of the full US set and included only 19 books (ommiting #7,18,21,23, and 24 from the series - although many of the chapters were transported into some of the UK versions of the book).  The Index for the UK series was also just a 16 page booklet.For this reason it would be ideal to split the US and UK copies if such a thing were possible to do successfully.

The Ocean World of Jacques Cousteau is a set of 20 volumes, that forms an encyclopedia of marine life.It was published between 1973 and 1978.The titles are: Oasis in Space, The Act of Life, Quest for Food, Window in the Sea, The Art of Motion, Attack and Defense,Invisible Messages, Instinct and Intelligence,Pharaohs of the Sea,Mammals in the Sea,Provinces of the Sea,Man Re-Enters Sea,A Sea of Legends,Adventure of Life,Outer and Inner Space,The Whitecaps,Riches of the Sea,Challenges of the Sea,The Sea in Danger,Guide to the Sea and Index, Some collections include an extra volume 21 'Calypso'.

The series of mathematics books first introduced to British schools in 1979.

These math books will be remembered by British children who attended school during the 1970s-80s.

The UK series was not a full reproduction of the original US series of 24 books, but a shortened set of 19, which contained chapters spanning the entire original set of 24.  To do this some chapters were missed out.  Although the covers look similar their contents are not the same.  If a British collecter were to try to fill in the gaps by searching for the missing covers from the US set (i.e. #7,18,21,23, and 24) then they would discover many repeated chapters, and still be missing much new information.  For this reason it would be ideal to Keep the sets seperate on LT, but in practice this would prove difficult to do.
