Quant a miFortysomething Mum with not enough reading time.
One room still to tackle; boxes at my parents' house to come over soon. Some tweaking of editions and manual entry still required on the existing data.
Quant a
la meva bibliotecaHUGE. You may think that there are a lot of books in a public library, but that's just peanuts compared to space. Er. Well. Something like that. And my parents have far more than I do, they just haven't catalogued them all yet...
There's some university set reading, some comfort reading, a lot of parenting and pregnancy books, a good handful of craft books (knitting and cross-stitching), not nearly as many cookery books as I'd like, and a good selection of reference. The collection grows on a weekly basis, though.
There are no 'wanted', 'borrowed', or unowned items on this list. I have wishlists on Amazon and ThingsILove; titles I have lost (had stolen, in many cases) or sold would take up space and make searching my existing library even harder. If I haven't physically found the book in the course of my cataloguing, it doesn't get listed (even though I know I own or once owned a copy of it...).
Wishlist for anyone who trawls charity shops as regularly as I do and is interested in swapping finds: any second-hand (even tatty) Wodehouse other than the Psmith novels;any Armada Pony books (even duplicates); David Nobbs' The Better World Of Reginald Perrin (particularly the tv-tie-in edition with Leonard Rossiter on the cover).
