About My Library
My library is mostly comprised of children's books, which I use for my teaching and research as well as for pleasure reading.
About Me
My name is Emily R. Aguiló-Pérez. I earned a PhD in Curriculum and Instruction and am currently Assistant Professor of English (Children's Literature) at West Chester University of Pennsylvania. My teaching and research interests are in the areas of children’s literature (particularly Latinx literature), girlhood studies, and children’s cultures. I have presented research on Latinx children’s books at various conferences. I have also served in national children's books award committees such as the Pura Belpré Award, the Lee Bennett Hopkins Award, and the PA Center for the Book's A Baker's Dozen.
