I am the YA Librarian at my library. I select and purchase all materials for YA, along with using these materials for education and entertainment purposes. I also select materials for our library book club kits (mostly used by adult patrons, but ranging in materials from children's chapter books to adult literature) and speedy reader kits, which allow a patron to take home an entire series at one time (also ranging from children to adult). I'm an avid reader and love to share what I have read with others. I am also the Assistant Director of my library, and part of those duties is to help oversee collection development in all other departments.
