The Library contains nearly 5,000 books in the fields of botany, plant ecology, conservation, natural history and related horticultural subjects. Books include wildflower and native plant field guides for many parts of the U.S., Canada, and certain foreign countries.

The Lawrence Newcomb Library, located at Garden in the Woods, 180 Hemenway Road, Framingham, Massachusetts, was created for the use, reference and education of the members of the New England Wild Flower Society. The library is located on the lower level of the Education Building at Garden in the Woods.
