I have very eclectic tastes. I have taken to rereading some of my favorites from decades past. Some favorite authors include Wallace Stegner, Russell Banks, Ivan Doig, Richard Russo, Gore Vidal, Shelby Foote, Tom Wolfe, James (Jan) Morris, Mark Twain, Pat Conroy, Carmack McCarthy, Norman McClain, among others. I keep up with current affairs, US History, travel literature, and the like.

Retired teacher. Involved in local history organizations. Active in community affairs. Most of my many friends, and large family are avid readers. I have lived in the Fauntleroy neighborhood in West Seattle for 25 years. I walk the neighborhood regularly and see my favorite buddies (many are in their eighties and nineties and share their life stories and books as well).
