I like science fiction, horror fiction and noir crime stories, plus mysteries like UFOs, cryptozoology etc. I am also interested in autism and the mind itself as a subject, which means new age, self-help and the latest research into consciousness.

I am a writer of very little brain, just like Winnie the Po. I live with my wife and dog, Jack, in Kilmarnock Scotland but originally I am from a little place called Diss in Norfolk, which means ditch in Anglo-Saxon, apparently because of caves that used to exist in the centre of the town, now submerged under the Mere, a small lake. My brother is a stone mason, a cousin paints miniatures that he sells mostly to the Dutch and I write various things that don't sell but give me satisfaction scribbling them. I also like hillwalking and the countryside. I frequent coffee shops and the dwindling library in my town.
