Quant a miAfter many years and some very painful culling, we have gotten our huge library under semi-control while moving from our coastal house in Maine to our senior community house in Lake Frederick VA, in the foothills of the Blue Ridge Mountains. I've put my blogging/reviewing gig on the back burner to spend time with 4 grands (aged 2-20). We have aam active community here with an athletic center and over 85 "clubs" for people to share a lifetime of interests.
I have an MLS from Catholic University ('77)and still enjoy reading, but some eye problems find me saving my good vision time to complete several counted cross-stitch projects. As soon as this COVID crap is finished, we hope to be able to visit again with our daughter and her hubby who are living in London and locked up very tight.
I'm an audio book freak - always have at least 2 going at once, and even read "in the pool" (where I work out 3-4 times a week) thanks to a waterproof arm pouch for my MP3 player. Because my arthritis makes it difficult to hold heavy books (hardbacks), I love reading on my Kindle especially since I can get "loaner" books through our library's download program,

la meva bibliotecaUPDATE From below: We bought a house here in VA that has tons of built in shelving, and an "office" for each of us. Hubby is hoping to continue writing, and I'm hoping to help my daughter-in-law with the home-schooling (as in virtual stay home) of the 6 and 10 year old. D-I=L is going nutso being shut up with a 2, 6, and 10 year old. The 20 year old is fortunate to be at James Madison University an hour down the road, so I'm having the kiddos help us unpack and sort the books by subject. We're also doing a lot of walking and board game playing.
The eclectic collection of two bookaholics. Heavy on history-particularly military, US, Brazilian. Many books in Portuguese (the Branco side of the family). Cookbooks, thrillers, fiction, mysteries, and a fair sprinkling of philosophy, poetry, and religion. Also almost 500 children's books, including classic golden books. Currently about 1/3 cataloged.
