Born in Florida

I'm from St. Petersburg. Grew up on the beaches. Anyone else here who grew up here?

Born in Lakeland. Worked in Oldsmar and St. Pete. Now in Palm Bay.

Lived in Tampa Bay as an infant (my grandmother is in Largo, so we go there a lot), spent 9 months in Sarasota for my first year of college, the rest of my life has been in Jacksonville. I think maybe I need to move before long... But I'm a bit afraid of going someplace with snow - the only snow I've experienced was the freak storm of 1989.

Oh, I dislike snow! We had a freak storm in '93. I wasn't born in Fl but if my daddy had not been in the Air Force I would have been. My parents were both born in Pensacola. I have been there off and on my whole life and came to Pensacola the Summer of 79...been here ever since. I love to travel to other parts of FL...Love Key West...my FAVORITE place to visit!

i grew up in west palm beach. i live in miami now, but spent a year in st. pete. i guess being a native is rare. glad to know there are more of us around. tim

i wasn't born in florida, butg i have a picture of me at five years old coming out of the brand new melbourne library as one of the first hundred customers. lived in something called Midway Colony (cabins). They have bulldozed those down now i understand. too bad. they would be a glorious link to history and a time when a five yhear old could walk from there downtown to the theatre anytime. now it is drugs, hookers, and ugliness.

I was born in Georgia, but my mother, her mother, and her mother's father were all born in Florida; so I have deep roots here.

I'm a fifth generation native (at least) and I was born in Miami Beach.

I was born in West Palm area in '87 and lived there until Aug '09. Now live in West Virginia.

Born in Tampa on Gasparilla day - nearly on the pirate ship! Went to USF and moved to NYC after graduating. Moved to LA in the late '80's and made it back to Florida (Orlando, not Tampa) in 1999. Been here eversince.

Born in West Palm, when it was a little town. Have lived in PB County my whole life. I wish it was the way it is now when I was a teenager. Too big now, but last year, hearing relatives in the north complain, I was happy to be here. Still would like to relocate a bit further north.

I grew up in St. Petersburg. I was born in CT, but my family moved to St. Pete when I was less than a month old. Love that city. Go Rays!

Miami's my birthplace; raised in Clearwater area -- life's a beach!; returned to Miami 30 years ago and love the Trade Winds, the tropics, the sports, the easy access to three continents from MIA, and the international flavors to be found here. What a city!
