Hi everyone. Lately I've been searching for a new book club to join. The one that I'm in right now has an eclectic mix of books and I'm happy with the group, but I'm hoping for a second that would be more classics-driven. I found one on Craigslist in CC, but would prefer not to commute into the city if I can avoid it.

That said, does anyone know of (or would be interested to create) one in the Delco or Main Line area? I found a classics book club listed on Barnes & Noble's website for the third Wednesday evening each month at the Bryn Mawr store, but the store associates didn't know anything about it, and there didn't appear to be anyone meeting tonight when I dropped by.

JM1982: I'm not aware of any in my immediate vicinity (Ridley-Swarthmore-Springfield in Delco).

In my experience, you frequently have to launch one for yourself to get things started. Talk to your local library to see if they'd be interested in getting one started or else contact the manager of a bookstore near you.

I know this is an extraordinarily old topic, but I don't live too far from the Main Line and am frequently in the Wayne/Devon area. If you're still looking to start a classics book club, perhaps we could do so.

I know this is dormant again but I just wanted to say that I had the same problem with finding a book club. I found one at my local library and joined that. I just happened to see a sign while returning books so I questioned it and joined. I would love to find another one just a close or even that reads different books then what we have been reading so far.

I live in the Delco area.

I live in Abington, PA, and would love to join such a club!
