I dropped in at Barnes & Noble on Shattuck yesterday evening, looking for a copy of Under the Black Flag: the Romance and the Reality of Life Among the Pirates, and found that they are also closing at the end of the month, so a good half of their stock is marked down 50%.

It is with great sadness that I write to tell you that Bay Books in Concord will be closing on Aug. 15. Their landlord raised the rent (again) so they cannot afford to remain in that spot, and have not so far found another location. The San Ramon store will remain open.

Everything is marked down, and discounts will increase as the days go by. Please show them your support!
