Can someone let me know how to do a forced receive? It looks like I have a disappeared moocher; she doesn't respond to reminders or emails asking if she's received a book I sent out in late April. It could be lost, who knows, since she won't answer my messages. Anyway, if anyone can help me out I would really appreciate it. Thanks in advance!

I believe you need to remind them to report the book received from your Pending list. Then, after a certain amount of time has gone by (30 days?), the Mark Received button will appear if they don't respond.

Be aware that every time you "remind" them, the clock is reset and you'll have to wait another six weeks for the force receive button to appear.

Thanks!! I will not remind her again (I've reminded twice with no response). I'll just wait it out. I appreciate your replies. :-)

Does it require a 'remind' to set the clock ticking? I've got one where she says she's gotten the book, but lost her BM password and can't mark it received. I've just been waiting for the force receive to show up - but I emailed her, not reminded her, so it may not show up at all if a remind is needed to start things off.

You do need to hit Remind to start the clock ticking, as you say.

I've never lost my Bookmooch password, but surely they have a mechanism for getting a new one?

You'd think. I asked if there was any way she could get on, but haven't gotten a response. Whatever. OK, I'll go hit Remind (and email her to tell her why).

#7: you could always contact TPTB yourself & let them know she's having login problems (lost password) and ask them what you should tell her.

click the abuse button but tell them its not abuse, but that she's lost her password & what should you tell her to do. or that they could contact her to reset it.

If she was worried about it, I would...but all I've gotten is that one email in response to my email asking if she'd gotten the book. She doesn't seem to care much. Nor do I care, as long as I can get that book off my pending...
