Here's a place to let others know when you hear about an upcoming author appearance. I usually seem to hear about my faves the day after, so any heads-up would be appreciated.
I'll go first: "A Thirsty Mind" in Lakeway (see my post no. 20 here ) has John Taliaferro (former Newsweek Senior Editor) on the menu for Friday, May 11, 4:30pm, to talk about his latest - In a Far Country: the True Story of a Mission, a Marriage, a Murder, and the Remarkable Reindeer Rescue of 1898.
I don't know this work, but his history/biography about Mt. Rushmore and it's architect, Great White Fathers, is a fine work.
