I used to be able to read 25-30 books a year, but text books got in the way over the last few years. School is done, move is done, job search is still in progress so I'm aiming for 2 to 3 books in each of my 12 categories.

This is my first challenge. My Kindle is over loaded & unread. My storage unit holds over 60 boxes of books, but I brought 2 shelves to my temporary living location of those that had been on my TBR for more than 3 years and of course I'm adding weekly with the killer thrift store prices. Now if I could just stay off of the book tracking sites and facebook I could get more reading done.

1) "THERE ARE THINGS I WANT YOU TO KNOW" ABOUT STEIG LARSSON AND ME by Eva Gabrielsson 1/20/12

I really enjoyed reading Eva's story of her life with Steig and how he came to write The Millennium Trilogy. I'm appalled that she got nothing for her 32years with him & how his family who hardly knew him went against all of his principles. I have yet to read the 3rd book & am contemplating waiting to purchase it deeply discounted at used stores as not to line their pockets further. When I get a job I plan on sending what I can to Eva as mentioned in the back of the book to pay for my enjoyment as if Steig would've received royalties.

I really enjoyed The Magnificent Ambersons when I read it for...maybe it was the 999 challenge? Wow, that's a long time ago. But anyway, it was quite good! I'm planning to read Tarkington's Alice Adams this year.

2013 begins - I got through 68 titles in 2012. I found that I really really enjoy books on Audio so much. I listen to one in the car, one at work and read a bedside hardback all at once.
