Hello, Would anybody be able to tell me the value of the complete FL Pulitzer Prize Collection? The set has "genuine leather with 22k gold accents, gilt page edges, and sewn-in bookmarks." Every book is in excellent, undamaged condition.

I checked ebay already. I am looking for some insight into general interest level among those that actually know and appreciate the Franklin Library sets.

Any info would be appreciated.

Thank you

Don't get your hopes up for high prices. Franklin Library books generally do not command as high a price as one might expect. There are a few notable exceptions from the "Signed 60" or Signed Limited Edition series and several titles in the 25th Anniversary of the Great Books of the Western World series, but the Pulitzer Prize books are undersold by only the First Edition Society series which rarely go for more than $15 to $20 each. The Pulitzer Prize set might be around $20 to $25 a book. There should be a premium for a complete set, but the other school of thought is that buyers expect a discount for bulk purchasing as well. Good luck though. Maybe you will get lucky. I do remember seeing a few complete sets get sold on eBay but I don't have record of the price.

What is your thought on the 100 Greatest Masterpieces collection. Same condition, but I dont think the set I have is complete.

Iam interested in similar information...I have almost 60 of the 100 Franklin library collection of the collected stories of the worlds greatest writers....if I wanted to sell them where would be the best place. I had contacted whom o think is a collector of sorts and he wants to purchase them but I am scared that I might get scammed. Any ideas?

I mostly buy my FL from ebay US. I have a couple of volumes, slowly building up my collection of the The 100 Greatest Books of All Time in fine or near fine editions. You can check my collecton. I haven't seen or know much of this collection of the world's greatest writers but I might be interested, contact me on my profile. I would appreciate a list and little information, how much your looking for, will you be selling all the volumes collectively or seperately and some pictures. I live in Denmark.

If you have time take, sell them individually on ebay. And remember to only send/ship the books when you can see that the money is in your bank account, not relying solely on the "you have received a paypal payment" receipt.

We have a few different selections of Franklin Library Collections, We have approx 130 of the Signed First Editions, Approx 100 of the ones printed American Revolution Bicentennial Administration, a few Southern Collection, Lots of Greatest Books and 20 Complete Works of Charles Dickins. They were my father in law and the family wants to sell them. Can anyone direct me to how to sell them in collections and not one by one. They are in pristine (for 30 year old book) condition, I am not sure they ever opened them. Many still have the original letter, flyer or booklet that came with them.

>8 Kdearman: you can sell collections on eBay. If you do a search on eBay of “Franklin library”, then sort by highest price you can see how other people are selling collections.
