the human race makes these robot things that look like humans to fight their war, they win it. but the Partials(the robots) turn on the humans and make a virus that kills basically everyone. There is only a small amount of people left that are immune to the virus but they all become carriers of it so the babies that are born die within three days. And they need to find a cure.

It kind of sounds like the Maze Runner series except more robotic. But I liked the Maze runner so I might check these out too.

I just purchased Bitterblue, sequel of Graceling and companion novel to Fire. I don't know if they aren't well-known, but they're definitely not as popular as Hunger Games. I also recently enjoyed Bombay Anna, for any fans of The King and I.

Graceling is good. I just finished it.

7: I'll admit, I wasn't too thrilled with it in the beginning, but it got better as I read. I definitely wouldn't have bought the sequel if I didn't like it. I reviewed the book in my reading journal. Direct link to when I start jabbering about it.

Bitterblue and Graceling sound interesting. What's the series about??

Graceling falls under Young Adult fiction, but I still like it. Further than that, though, I'll just be lazy and post part of a professional, spoiler-free review:
If you had the power to kill with your bare hands, what would you do with it?
Graceling takes readers inside the world of Katsa, a warrior-girl in her late teens with one blue eye and one green eye. This gives her haunting beauty, but also marks her as a Graceling. Gracelings are beings with special talents—swimming, storytelling, dancing. Katsa's Grace is considered more useful: her ability to fight (and kill, if she wanted to) is unequaled in the seven kingdoms. Forced to act as a henchman for a manipulative king, Katsa channels her guilt by forming a secret council of like-minded citizens who carry out secret missions to promote justice over cruelty and abuses of power.
Bitterblue is a significant (though not yet overly prominent) character that you meet in Graceling. If I say more than that, I risk spoilers, and I hate spoilers. If you read the book, I invite you to take a look at my reading journal (hyperlinked in #8) and share your opinion. I had a blast writing my thoughts on Graceling. At some point, I should probably edit it for review purposes.

They surprised me, so I'm hoping that others won't write it off too soon, if they run into the same problem I did. Cashore's writing gets stronger as the story progresses.

just bought three books off of smashwords.com by a new author named Ardy. The best is Dawn is Coming, a "Christian" fantasy novel that seems like a cross between Narnia and something by Stephen King. Also good was Akeldama: The Field of Blood. Great Vampire novel, unlike anything i've ever read before. Check him out. He's awesome!!!

Smashwords is a self-publishing e-book site, I believe.

I'm currently reading River Marked, and urban fantasy. I think it's safe to say that, if you like Hunger Games and Graceling, you'll like this book. However, River Marked is #6 in the series, so you'll want to start with Moon Called. Homecoming is a prequel graphic novel, which I'd recommend reading after absorbing the first three books in the series.

But on the subject of new books. I just started to look at the "Lying Game" series by Sara Shepard. Anyone read those??
