An amazing piece of history!

Of Human Bondage, 1st ed.

This book is inscribed by Maugham as follows: "This copy was given by me to J. E. Brooks who was the original of the Hayward of this book and who was later described under the initial 'B' in The Summing Up."

Most or all of the above items came from the massive collection by Norman Moore.

I find it sad that they have been split up. I hope they went to deeply appreciative owners who will care for them before passing them along once again.
