Well, if you insist: "Effects of time of propagation and supplemental light on flowering of poinsettia, Euphorbia pulcherrima" http://www.worldcat.org/title/effects-of-time-of-propagation-and-supplemental-li... :)

Not reading it, just sharing an example. ;)

Non-fiction - ok, ok, that's a title allright! LOL. Now find me a 'fiction' title! :-)

Well, if you use the common name of Poinsettia how about Poinsettia and the Firefighters.

But, yes, most of LT's titles are nonfiction.

I'm going for The Clock Strikes 12 by Patricia Wentworth.

yes, more likely to find poinsettia in a title than Euphorbia pulcherrima :-)

If I manage any at all it will be fluff! Twelve Sharp by Janet Evanovich . Love Stephanie Plum and these books are easy reads!

My December read is Three Weeks in December by Audrey Schulman. I know nothing about the book or the author and chose it based on the name. Keeping my fingers crossed . . .

I have a suitable book! If I remember, I'll read A Wedding in December by Anita Shreve. It's been on my TBR for ages and I'd love to get it read.

I'm also going to read A Wedding in December. It wil be a reread for me, but I couldn't find anything else that interested me with the month name in it. It's not part of my library here so I must have read it before I joined in 08.

I'll probably read the 12th book in the Dave Robicheaux series, Jolie Blon's Bounce. Not sure what else I have on the radar that would fit.

It's a bit of a stretch but I'm intending to read John Guy's Thomas Becket: Warrior, Priest, Rebel this month. And Becket lived in the TWELFTH century.

Just in case there's anyone here who hasn't weighed in on the discussion currently taking place about next year's theme reads, you can find it here:

I'm trying to keep my December reading on the light side as it is such a busy month with so many seasonal distractions. I am going to read No Holly For Miss Quinn by Miss Read.

I agree with you about December's busyness. I enjoy reading light things that month too. One of the books I have selected is a book of short story mysteries. I'm getting ready to head to the library in a few minutes to try to check it out before I do a few other things. Our local library association is having a "book brag" at lunch time at a restaurant on Market Square in Knoxville. That's where we tell about a book that we really enjoyed. They were encouraging us to use holiday reads, but others are acceptable. I'm going with the "other" theme because I really don't think the ones I've read so far this year are things I'd necessarily be enthusiastic about sharing with other librarians.

I'm not sure if I've chosen anything yet that fits the monthly theme, but hopefully there will be something soon. Maybe the book has 12 short stories? I won't know until I pick it up at the library.

Well I've finished my December TIOLI book - A Wedding in December by Anita Shreve. And used the month name in each challenge in some way! Yeah! Off to look for books for next years challenges.
