Looking for biography on Lenin and Roosevelt

I am looking for a good biography on Lenin and also a biography on Franklin D Roosevelt. Must be quite recently published, informative and readable. Can anyone suggest any good titles?

Conrad Black's 2003 Franklin Delano Roosevelt : champion of freedom recieved decent reviews in the academic journals. Though it doesn't meet your criteria of recent publication, William E. Leuchtenburg's Franklin D. Roosevelt and the New Deal, 1932-1940 remains the classic on the impact of Roosevelt's presidency.

Hi. Roy Jenkins biography of Franklin Delano Roosevelt is quite a slim volume, and could be a good introductory one to read?

I believe Robert service is a respected biographer of Lenin.

Agree with the Roy Jenkins rec, more a biographical sketch than a 'proper biography but a good introduction nonetheless.
