Just noticed this thread - rather late in the day, but happily the WSJ article is still there. Interesting: I hadn't realised that Jarry was such a cycling fanatic. It turns out that the text of "La Passion considérée comme course de côte" is available online. It's only a very short sketch, really, not a story. Mildly amusing, in a rather bad taste sort of way:
