Raising steam.. ..

?

So far I have read, according to my Kobo e-reader, 15% of Raising Steam and I am not sure if I can be bothered to read any more of it.

I get the feeling that the book has been targeted at 8 - 10 year olds with an aim to amuse them - but without really knowing what does amuse them.

I keep finding myself singing "The wheels of the truck go round and round".

I don't want to write a review without having finished the book so don't hold your breath ...

I fear that, having blitzed it this weekend, I can't really encourage you pinkozcat. I found myself thinking with Snuff that it was all getting a bit formulaic and this only re-iterated that.
