I read a lot of young adult books and have lots of suggestions for ones I've loved that are about serious topics and still great stories, but none specifically about cancer. Do you want suggestions like that or do you want cancer specifically?

I would probably still read Looking for Alaska -- yes, it's spoiled, but it's the writing and the character relationships that also make it a very good book.

When I read Looking for Alaska, I found out about the car crash by reading the summary on the dust jacket - it wasn't exactly a spoiler. There's way more to the story than that. If you liked The Fault In Our Stars, I think you'll like it.

Since you asked... consider BEFORE MY EYES... publication date 2.11.14... raw too.
Have you read Laurie Halse Anderson's novels? -- another favorite of mine.
