I haven't received Bears for Children or Be Thankful for the Little Things. I will post a review if I get them.

I have not received Under the Sea Adventures. I notified author on 3/18.

I'm still waiting for 'Be thankful for the little things' and 'Undersea Adventure.' I contacted the author and she said that she would email them, but that was weeks ago.

I have since received them and posted reviews today 14/04/2014

I have 2 books from March I never received. Both are from author, Louse Folger. I have notified her twice. I will not pursue further unless receive further instructions.

I have not received the.followi g from the April batch: Heartsong Sisterhood of the Shepherds. I have nitified the author.

I have been waiting since May 8 for three books from the Cookbook Delight Series: Apple Delights Cookbook: A Collection of Apple Recipes ,Onion Delights Cookbook: A Collection of Onion Recipes , and Peach Delights Cookbook: A Collection of Peach Recipes.

The Onion book is the most disappointing because I entered to receive it for my mother. I thought it would be great for summer since that is when sweet onions are out and she loves them.

How long does it usually take (on average) to receive books from the members giveaway?

This makes me feel a lot better about not winning the peaches one!

Most member giveaway e-books that I have won have come in one or two days. I've been waiting three whole days for my most recent one. However, membergiveaways are also notorious for not coming. I've been lucky in this regard, and all mine have come.

In the meantime, this is a way of treating onions that I learned in Iceland, where it is used on hot dogs. I really like the combination of well-browned and barely-heated onions.

Slice or chop your onions, and heat a frying pan with your choice of fat. I like a mixture of olive oil and butter. (I'm not sure what they use in Iceland.) Add half of your onions to the pan and brown them over medium heat, stirring frequently. When they are a nice rich brown, take the pan off the heat, add the rest of the onions, stir through, and serve.

Thanks for the recipe. I'll have to tell that one to my mother (I, personally, hate onions).

I am also waiting on two books from this author from the May giveaways. Noticed that at least 8-10 others did not receive their books from this author as well. Left messages on her e-mail and facebook and no response, even though there are entries from her after my messages. Resigned none of us will receive the books. One would think that they would prohibit her from new offerings until she fulfilled her prior committments

Completely agree. The author and the books should also be taken off of Librarything (Just my opinion though).

Have not received my copy of Solomon's Freedom by Dennis Meredith. I was notified in mid-August that it would be coming "shortly."

I have not received a copy of PERFECT MURDER MAYBE; Porter Mystery Book 1 by RICHARD PORTER. I was notified in December and have still not received a copy.

Only not recieved two books one Author has been "suspended" the other one looks dubious

One is The Wilderness Companion by Lomax Linkous, Glynda Looks seriously dubious (the Author page seems empty) (doubt it'll be ever received)

and the other is Cast Away: For These Reasons by Sekimonyo, Jo M. (Author's profile page has been suspended venusbooks1)

I Have not received a copy of "Of Sea and Stone by Kate Avery Ellison". I was notified on February 19 and still not received a copy.

Has anyone received the Twin Souls series from the Member Giveaways? I won it on April 4th, but have yet to receive an e-mail from the author. I e-mailed Loranne twice since this is my first time doing Member Giveaways. Do anyone of you know how to mark the books unreceived? I saw the FAQs for how to do it with Early Reviews, but not Member Giveaways.

As it's a Member Giveaway, you really need to contact the author. Unlike the ER program, where LT will contact the publisher to try to resolve the issue if books are not sent, "LibraryThing takes no responsibility for books sent or received."

There isn't a way to mark MG books as unreceived. The reason you can do so for ER books is so that the site does not count the failure to review it against you for future ER offers. Since you are not required to review an MG book, and as those are distributed randomly rather than using an algorithm as ER does, there's no need for such a marking.

I have *not* received books using Tomely. It doesn't work. The download starts (after an annoying number of back-and-forths!), then ends with an error. The latest is Ennara and the Fallen Druid by Angela Myron.

I have not reveived after the gazebo... I have notified the author recently without any answers, I won it may 20 2015 at 10:00pm and to this day August 4 2015, I still haven't had it. I thought about giving it a month or two thinking about the shipping and all but if I do not get an answer by the author soon I will not do any further efforts to receive the book I won.

Over the last few months I have not received Eyes of the Dead by Adam Netherlund and Fireflies by P.S. Bartlett. I'm not chasing authors for their books when I can buy a book that is very well reviewed already by other people. They either send it or they don't.

So far I heard nothing from S.J. Pierce about spectacle - got the notification on Jul, 29, asked the author about it on Aug, 29 - but it is the first book that didn't arrive.

I think I'm done with trying to "win" books through the Member Giveaways here. I've yet to receive the ones I entered and "won." I've sent messages to the member but never have gotten a reply. It's *almost* tempting to post a one star review for lack of follow-through. Here's the latest ones:

I make sure every book I receive has a review. Having that type of status is important to me as I run a book blog and I work with publishers and publicists as well as our local library. I guess I'm not missing anything even if it's irritating.

Yes, I won a copy of Dangerous Benefits that I didn't receive either. I guess I'll try to contact the person again. I got the message on Oct. 8th and still nothing. Maybe I can find out something.

For the record (those are old requests by now)

• Had no news from the author of Vampire Miami as far as I could notice. Well, wasn't going to chase them.

• Absent-mindedly downloaded From the Indie Side instead of Behind the Fire because the download email was the same for 3 different books by the same publisher in that batch. My slip-up there, though by the time I got around to noticing the issue (1) the download timeframe had expired (2) I *also* noticed I'd been added to a newsletter by the Behind the Fire author, so while I'll get around to From the Indie Side eventually I just didn't want to have anything to do anymore with that other author.

If it's Member Giveaway, it doesn't make any difference to LT. They can ask for a review (if they send the book) but LT doesn't keep track.

I have a question, how long should I wait before notifying members that I never received their books?

I'd say absolutely no more than four weeks after being notified of your win, and possibly longer for print vs. ebook copies.

It's very discouraging seeing a member who constantly has giveaways not send the e-book for over a month. Does RavenswoodPublishing actually send books out?

I did receive four ebooks from RavenswoodPublishing.

I've been waiting for Mrs. Parsley Makes a Delivery: and Other Stories since July 3.

I still haven't received these two books. Also, I saw that Crux Publishing has just posted Making a Mark in the Early Reviewers section. Since they have not fulfilled their prior obligations in the Member Giveaways, should this be allowed?

No. Unlike with the Early Reviewer program, LT has no involvement with MG other than providing a platform by which members an offer their books.

I have finally received Movie Trivia Madness. It said in the email I got that the author was having trouble sending the emails, and had to get the publisher to do it.

I have not received From the Beginning by Timna Kurtz, won on March 7th. I contacted the author via her LT profile to see if the copies had been sent out but haven't heard back yet.

I haven't received the book, "Too Much Magic: Wishful Thinking, Technology, and the Fate of the Nation", from the June Giveaway. Since it's only mid-July, I wasn't concerned until I noticed that 72 members have already added it to their libraries.

I haven't received Moonlight by David Rose from the March member giveaway batch but would love to review it if it ever arrives.

I was chosen to receive a copy of Sondra Marshak's "Star Trek: The Fate of the Phoenix" from http://www.librarything.com/profile/Galina98 on 29 July 2019. I tried contacting them at the end of August and again a couple days ago, but they haven't responded. Is there anything that can be done if a book just never shows up? The only other book that took far too long was offered by a publisher through Member Giveaways, though I was able to contact the right person at the publisher's office and receive it a little over three years later, but this is a different case. I want to make sure my lack of a review for it isn't counted against me when LT chooses recipients in Member Giveaways.

I just realized there is a section to see books you've won (I know I'm late, I just recently started reusing this site) and the only book I haven't received was "Adventures in the Black and White" by Phillipa Duke & Tara Betts back in 2018. Has anyone been successful receiving a book from that long ago? I seems really interesting and I would love to read it.
