The cooler temps are getting me thinking about a big pot of spaghetti or soup or chili...nice warm comfort food. I've also recently noticed a strong desire to do some back to school shopping - maybe a nice warm sweater - and I haven't been to school in many, many years!

How are you getting in the Fall mood?

Also thinking about soup; I bought leeks and potatoes at the farmers market yesterday. Might throw them in the crockpot tomorrow.

Found some of the Halloween decorations (most holiday decorations were lost in transit) so pumpkins, witches and black cats are popping up on all flat surfaces (no spiders, I don't do spiders).

Turned on the heat a couple of mornings ago. Autumn perfume should be pumpkin spice and the unmistakable scent of first-time-this-season heating kicking on. Of course, in my youth, it would have included burning leaves, too. I miss burning leaves. We'd cook potatoes in them.

I think I'm set on sweaters, although I'm tempted to get a new one to wear when I go back to Chicago for Christmas. However, I am planning on picking up a new pair of sweat pants this afternoon.

i love fall here. had a yummy soup last night for dinner. i just love the brisk and chill mornings/evenings with the sunny afternoons. won't last long, i know...

I bought acorn squash, spaghetti squash and a gigantic yam yesterday...yup, it's fall.

Guess it is time to pull out the Halloween decorations too.

Agreed, on the soup line of thought. I just made sausage and kale soup over the weekend. Tonight will be broiled pork tenderloin with a fall root vegetable bake.

Mostly, I want to curl in a chair and dig into a good book- or 10.
