I've worked towards this goal for the past several years. Last year was the first time I actually accomplished the goal. I don't have many people to share my success or struggles on this topics with, because most of the people I spend any amount of time with don't read for fun.
I READ PURELY FOR ENTERTAINMENT. Mainly historical and paranormal romance novels.
I'm starting this a little late but here's what I've read so far this year.

#1 Darkness by Laurann Dohner
#2 Smiley by Laurann Dohner
Part of her New Species Series

#3 Something About Harry by Dakota Cassidy

#4 Pleasure Unbound by Larissa Ione

#5 Nine Rules to Break When Romancing a Rake by Sarah MacLean
One of my favorite authors and a must for anyone who likes historical romance.

#6 Duke of Darkness by Anabelle Bryant

#7 Bound by Flames by Jeaniene Frost
This is the third book in the Night Prince series about Vlad and Lelia. It's a spin-off series set in the Dark Huntress world.

#8 A Hunger Like No Other by Kersely Cole
#9 Dark Desires After Dusk by Kersely Cole
#10 Lothaire by Kresley Cole
All three are rereads from the Immortals After Dark series. I listen to the audio version of these books because the performer is AMAZING.

#11 Drowning Mermaids by Nadia Scrieva
BA fighting mermaids at war with each other.

#12 The Secrets of Sir Richard Kenworthy by Julia Quinn
I read anything by Julia Quinn and her books are another must read if you like historical romance.

#13 Desperate Duchesses by Eloisa James

#14 The Duchess War by Courtney Milan
#15 The Heiress Effect by Courtney Milan
#16 The Countess Conspiracy by Courtney Milan
#17 The Suffragette Scandal by Courtney Milan
I absolutely fell in love with these stories and characters. I cried a little and laughed quite a bit throughout this series. I had never read anything by this author, but definitely look forward to reading more.

Welcome! I can relate to not having "real" friends to talk books with. Unfortunately, my friends (who are perfect in every other way:O) consider reading for fun to be a curious pastime.

Welcome, it's just been the last few months I started a small book group of women. Before that this was my only outlet to talk about books.

Welcome to the group! I'll have to keep an eye open for Sarah MacLean and Julia Quinn, the names are familiar...
