There is an edition of John Nathan's Mishima: A Biography that says the edition is Rei Tiein. This is not the 1st edition hardcover or the latest paperback edition. I just want to know, what the heck is Rei Tiein? I can get that edition for cheap but the seemingly weird phrase makes me think it will be in a foreign language or have some other strange quality.

That's a misprint. It should be Rei Tie In, as in a promotional edition, generally a mass-market paperback, meant to coincide with the release of a film (in this case, probably Paul Schrader's biopic 'Mishima'). Nothing likely to be weird about it although it may be cheaply bound and will probably feature a still from the film as a cover rather than the original cover image.

Thank you! :). I found a copy of the first edition hardcover at my college library which I am reading happily.
