So, another Sunday, sheesh! Time flies when you're having fun.
Dan is sick, literally lying in his chair moaning ( day 2) with a sinus infection. So I'm making a pot of chicken soup. I had to go out and get chicken this morning, picked up a paper for him, handed it over with a cup of tea. Hasn't thought to say thank you to me yet. Bless his heart.
Reading? A fantastic book Bohemian Gospel and loving it.
Hope all is well with you all...

>45 Berly: oh ~ Kimmy. Well... lets see. Not working. Had a line on a job, and have been waiting for 6 months for them to fill the position. They say they still plan to, but? I miss my work. I sort of feel like that last betrayal was crushing. Furkids are well. Lola seems to have some sort of winter skin issues, but I believe I have found the magic formula to help, so that's good. I am currently reading one of way too many Vine books! It's called Firstlife and it's really pretty good! YA and pretty formulaic, but a very unique ( imo) plot. I was feeling pretty unwell for a lot of the summer and fall, but doing better now. One of my sons was just home for most of a week, as he had meetings in the tri state area. That was nice. Kimmy, I just feel kinda done, you know? I miss people here too, but I just feel like I used up all of my reserves a while back, and they aren't coming back.

That's a fine number, Kath!
Hi! wishing you well, too.
I recently read a book, Never Haunt a Historian by Edie Claire. I'd never read any by her before. When I looked at her author page, I think it indicated that you had more of her books cataloged than anyone else on LT. (I liked the book.)
hugs to you too! Sig says meow.

I love special numbers!! And for you, Kath, from numerology..."On the other hand, when the humble and feminine 2 finds herself under attack and burdened with a crushing weight, she will bend, she will bend as much as needed. And when the weight is removed, her elastic, flexible nature allows her to come right back up, seemingly with little harm done, and she will continue to play her role." You are unbreakable!!! : )

>52 tymfos: I have read and enjoyed ALL of her books. Some are better than others, but none have been klunkers. In fact one of them... might be that one, has a cat named Angus at her father's office. He's named after my cat...there was a snap fb question and I saw it first. So...voila'. She has 2 stand alones that are really good. Hug Sig for me :)

Oh, that is so cool about the naming of the cat in the book, Kath!
Sig probably needs an extra hug today. He had to be confined in the bedroom while the plumber was working on our leak. I need to vacuum today (he hates that) and then he has a trip to the vet for his annual check-up. So a challenging day for the cat.

Good luck with the furniture moving. I'm sure the fur kids will be fine.
I hear you about feeling edgy. Me, too -- that's exactly the right word for how I've felt lately, edgy. No particular reason, though winter is probably a factor.

Hi, Kath! How are things going? Your list of books read has been growing nicely.
>71 mckait: Kath, reading has been OK for me. I've read a lot this year, considering how busy things are. Some books are good, some are meh, and I've abandoned a few. I can't say anything has struck me as absolutely stellar. The bio I read of Karen Carpenter, Little Girl Blue, probably touched me the most. Sad. Right now I'm sort of feeling like I might be on the edge of a reading funk -- my reading has slowed way down.
Sig squirmed away from the snuggles and hugs you sent -- cats can be that way, eh? -- but he loves you anyway. Send him a chin scratch, and he'll purr.
Sad. I'm just stopping by to wish you a happy St. Patrick's day.
I've got corned beef and cabbage in the slow cooker.
I hope you have a great day.

>72 jnwelch: Thanks Joe. I really needed a hug today
>73 tymfos: Terri, yeah. My books have been satisfactory to good so far. I have been trying to stay away from sad. As for Sig, some cats are huggers, some are not :) I'm always happy to think of him in your home, now his!
>74 DianaNL: Thank you for the smile :)
>75 Berly: Hugs to you Kimmy! Hope you are well~
>76 tymfos: We had a family dinner on Saturday with corned beef sandwiches and colcannon, at my nieces house. It was nice, all 3 nephlets were there .
>77 Thebookdiva: Thanks Abby, wishing you a soft and happy week :)
Nothing new here... and hoping it stays that way, I'm hoping for no new excitement or drama.
Thank you for visiting... wishing you good times, all!

Kath, I think you can take some credit for Sig's happy home. You helped increase my animal awareness with your posts. I'm not sure I would have had the nerve to insist on bringing the critter in out of the cold into the house otherwise. And you gave some good advice to get us off to a good start.
Sig has started sleeping on the blanket-covered trunk at the foot of our bed in recent nights. I find his presence there rather cozy.
I read another of Edie Claire's books, the first installment of the Leigh Koslow series, Never Buried. I really enjoyed it.

Hey there, Kath.....I've just discovered, as I was perusing the 75ers list looking for phebj (Pat), that your thread was not starred! I rectified that now.
I see things are a bit quiet over here. That's ok, maybe you just don't feel like talking, being retrospective, busy. I see you've read 38 books so far and that's a good sign. Hope it's not because you're ill or stuff.

I miss all of you! Time flies when you are doing nothing at all, I guess. I didn't realize it has been so long since I posted. I am trying t remember all of my reads, but not sure if I am or not. sigh.
I had some big news today.....
My daughter is going to make me a grandma!!! I am beyond excited! I was resigned to this never, ever happening. The baby is due one day after her own birthday in November! YaaaaaY!
I can't seem to concentrate on anything since I found out this morning......
I hope you are all well, and I also hope you know how much I appreciate all of you for keeping my thread warm, and for your kind words...
group hug!!!

Hi, Kath! It's good to see you post.
It's so easy to get behind with listing books. (le sigh!)
Today was beautiful, though a bit on the cool side. That doesn't bother me a bit, as with the sun the car was quite warm, and I was in the car a lot today.
Wishing you a peaceful evening and rest of the week!

Just popping in. Thank you all for stopping by. I have not been keeping track of my reads this year. I was at first, then I just quit. I am reading and living and looking forward to my granddaughter's arrival. I am sending all of you a big hug, and hoping that life is being kind.

Wouldn't it be nice if 2017 was a year of peace and goodwill.
A year where people set aside their religious and racial differences.
A year where intolerance is given short shrift.
A year where hatred is replaced by, at the very least, respect.
A year where those in need are not looked upon as a burden but as a blessing.
A year where the commonality of man and woman rises up against those who would seek to subvert and divide.
A year without bombs, or shootings, or beheadings, or rape, or abuse, or spite.
2017.
Festive Greetings and a few wishes from Malaysia!
128PaulCranswick
Looking forward to your continued company in 2017.
Happy New Year, Kath
