Home / Useless by Depeche Mode
Tags: alt rock, single, cd
Rating:
Track Listing: 1 Home (Album Version), 2 Home (Grantby Mix), 3 Home (LFO Meant To Be), 4 Home (The Noodles & The Damage Done), 5 Useless (CJ Bolland Ultrasonar Extended Mix), 6 Useless (CJ Bolland Funky Sub Mix), 7 Useless (Kruder + Dorfmeister Session™), 8 Useless (Escape From Wherever: Parts 1 & 2).
Note(s): These aren't my two favorite DM singles, so I wasn't in love with hearing four various mixes of "Home" and "Useless" each (though out of the two, I preferred "Useless"). But there were some decent mixes; and, of course, I'm a DM fan, so I'll buy/collect just about anything by them.

DVD #15

Criminal Lovers = Les amants criminels directed by François Ozon
Tags: suspense, foreign, france, gay, cannibals, kidnapping, dvd, NR
Rating:
Synopsis: The movie begins with an explicit murder scene. We later learn high school student Alice (Natacha Régnier) convinced her lover, Luc (Jérémie Renier), to murder their classmate Saïd (Salim Kechiouche), whom she claims raped her with a group of his friends. After the murder they take Luc's parents' car and go off to rob a jewelry store. When they dispose of the body in the woods, the couple get lost on their way back to their car and are captured by a mysterious forest dweller (Miki Manojlovic). Matters take an even more bizarre twist when the stranger locks the young lovers in his basement and reveals that he plans to eat them. The movie shows the events that led up to the murder of their classmate and the ordeals the two lovers undergo in the cabin. Alice is very sexually active, but Luc is still a virgin. Sometimes it feels like a bizarre twist of Grimm's "Hansel and Gretel" in true François Ozon style.
Note(s): The synopsis said it best: this does feel "like a bizarre twist of Grimm's "Hansel and Gretel." It's not super dark where it would be dubbed horror or anything, but there's plenty of criminal behavior that it's hardly a drama. The only reason I gave it 4 stars was because of the dead rabbit skinning. Not related to the rating, I found Alice very manipulative--I didn't like her much--but overall, I thought this was a great movie. This is my third François Ozon movie (I've seen Swimming Pool and Sitcom, in that order) and have liked all three, so I can easily say he's a favorite director of mine now.

Food Randomness: I ate these so you don't have to:

To start off with, I love broccoli and Trader Joe's, so I figured score! I'll love it, right? Wrong.

1) They were soggy-ish, like they'd been on the shelf too long. Or maybe they should start putting those humidity/odor absorbers in their bags to keep them fresher, longer...like my darling kale chips have in theirs (*drools* kale chips).

2) Funky taste. The only ingredients are broccoli, palm oil, and salt, so how could they F up that? Well, bravo, they did. It's almost ruined my love of broccoli. :*(

3) Half of it was crumbly and messy. And like with potato chip bags, there was plenty of air to waste your money ($2.79--ouch! I'll never do that again).

Ok, drama over. At least I had this to wash out the taste in my mouth:

Hooray for vegan p.b. chocolate! :D

18Ape
Editat: feb. 24, 2016, 8:15 pm

I'm a fan of broccoli, but those definitely look unappealing, and they have pretty bad reviews online too.

On the topic of healthy-ish junk food, I don't know if they are vegan or not, but my sister always buys Harvest Snaps Snapea Crisps and they are delicious. :)

19saraslibrary
feb. 24, 2016, 9:47 pm

>18 Ape: Yeah, they look like the result of me trying to cook--all charred and nasty. And I saw a few low stars online, but I didn't check out the reviews. I think Amazon had 2/5, which is really low for them. They usually review everything high.

Woah, those almost look like these. They were in that same kale, nasty baked broccoli aisle. I'll have to look for the Sneap Crisps sometime. Where do you usually get those at?

Some of the songs on here I'd never heard before (that I recall), like her duet with Stevie Wonder, "We Didn't Know," and "Thinking About You" and a few others.

Fancy Nancy's Elegant Easter by Jane O'Connor
Tags: fiction, juvenile, picture book, series, fancy nancy, easter
Rating:
Pages: 16
Synopsis: Nancy prepares an elegant Easter affair in this fancy new lift-the-flap book! Throwing a fabulous and fancy Easter party is a very big job—and Nancy and Bree are in charge of decorating! This book includes thirteen flaps that open to reveal hidden surprises that will delight all festive Fancy Nancy fans!
Note(s): Giving in to super-early store--and, yes, even library--marketing, I decided to read an Easter book. Thankfully, it wasn't the religious type, but more on the parties and Easter egg hunt side of the holiday. The lift-the-flaps were super cute; I haven't read a picture book with those in eons.

The Dumb Bunnies by Sue Denim
Tags: fiction, juvenile, picture book, humor, animals, rabbits, series, the dumb bunnies
Rating:
Pages: 30
Synopsis: Meet the Dumb Bunnies. They eat lunch in a car wash. They go bowling in a library. And they ice-skate on the bottom of a lake. Everything the Dumb Bunnies do is REALLY dumb--but lots of fun. When an intruder sneaks into their house, this spectacularly stupid family is stumped. See what happens to their unwelcome guest and laugh yourself silly!
Note(s): This is my first stab at The Dumb Bunnies series. I can't believe it's taken me so long to get around to it. Very silly, stupid stuff; so, of course, I liked it. I especially liked the Goldilocks and the Three Bears twist to it.

Mommy directed by Xavier Dolan
Tags: drama, foreign, montreal, quebec, canada, psychology, teachers, dvd, R
Rating:
Synopsis: A widowed single mother, raising her violent son alone, finds new hope when a mysterious neighbor inserts herself into their household.
Note(s): This was an engaging movie; however, I thought it was way too long (139 minutes). The subject matter (serious emotional/psychological problems) definitely makes you think (for me, I'm so glad I don't have kids!!), regardless that it's based on a fictional health bill that allows parents to admit their children to psychiatric hospitals for whatever reason. The characters were oftentimes scary (Steve especially) but real-feeling. I'm not sure whose bad attitude I found worse, though--the mother's or the son's. And, oh yes, the profanity. If you're bothered by excessive F-bombs and such, you might steer clear of this one. I think tourette's should've been added to Steve's list of issues. ;) I did like the soundtrack (Lana Del Rey, Sarah McLachlan, Eiffel 65, etc), though I thought it odd almost all the songs were in English for a French-speaking film. But it's Canada, so it makes sense. Even though the cover makes the movie look incestuous, there really isn't much of an incest vibe, though Steve does act inappropriately at times and does kiss his mom full on the mouth in one scene, no hand between. Yeah, classy. The ending does leave it up to the viewer's interpretation whether Steve escapes the asylum, alive or dead. In my mind, the movie was depressing enough, Steve jumped to his death; but that's just my realistic view of the whole situation. I was also disappointed in the end by the stuttering teacher character who helped tutor Steve and was a friend to Die, the mother. She withdraws completely from them, but I suppose that is life for you.

19: I think my sister buys them at Walmart, in the bakery/deli area. I googled to see if they were vegan, and it looks like some of them actually are, but a few flavors aren't, so you'll have to investigate more thoroughly.

Saint-Saëns's Danse Macabre by Anna Harwell Celenza
Tags: nonfiction, juvenile, picture book, historical, musicians, paris, france, caves, death, checked out from work
Rating:
Pages: 32
Synopsis: Lyrical descriptions, a lush historical backdrop, and colorful artwork tell the story behind Camille Saint-Saёns’s composition of Danse macabre. Inspired by his visit to the underground catacombs of Paris, Saint-Saёns writes a chilling instrumental waltz. CD recording of Saint-Saёns’s composition of Danse macabre included.
Note(s): I didn't know whether to put a fiction or nonfiction tag on this one, since it's shelved in our juvenile fiction area, but it's more of a short fictionalized version of true events. Anyway, I wasn't too wowed by the story by Anna Harwell Celenza, but the author's note and the CD of the song were the best parts of this book. It's nice to know there were weirdos like myself even back then. ;) I'm not big on concerts; however, this one I may have wanted to attend: "On April 1, 1897, fifty musicians descended into the Paris Catacombs and performed Danse macabre." Spooky.

>25 Ape: Good to know, thanks! :) My mom actually found some vegan Jell-O at Walmart awhile back. It was pretty darn good, imho; but then, I haven't had Jell-O in years, and there was enough sugar in it to mask any bad taste. ;)

And, oh yes, I'm an avid ingredients reader. If I can't pronounce it or am a little iffy on what it is or where it came from, I don't buy it. *snort* And then I just realize I drink energy drinks, so I'm definitely not the health nut some people think I am. ;)

Seriously?? Cool-weird! :D I agree: those are the better songs on that CD, though I do like the sound of anyone having their revenge on Seattle. :P

feb. 25, 2016, 7:38 pm

Haha, yeah, I know how you are with your energy drinks. I can't say how "natural" those Snapea crisps are, I was just commenting on animal products. When I google them I do get lots of vegan bloggers and whatnot talking about them, and this is the official statement from the company that makes them.

Are Harvest Snaps vegetarian and/or vegan? Harvest Snaps do not use any meat or contain any ingredient or ingredient components made from wheat, rye, barley or milk products, except for Snapea Crisps Caesar, Snapea Crisps Wasabi Ranch and Lentil Bean Onion Thyme.

So, no meat, but do by-products like fat/oil fall under that category?

And I noticed they didn't mention eggs (though I can't imagine eggs going in crackers, but you never know). Normally, vegan-friendly stuff has little labels on them, like this:

Or it'll be written near the ingredients: "Suitable for vegans." The funny thing about the second V label is that I've also seen that V on dog food, and it stands for something like veterinarian approved. o.0 Blech! Those are way too close to each other.

That is interesting, and thanks for the label pic. :) I think gluten-free is like the "in" diet right now, so everyone's putting GF on everything, along with non GMO. (Personally, I like gluten; it's a great source of protein.) I did find the ingredients--Green Peas, Vegetable Oil (Canola, Sunflower and/or Safflower Oil), Rice, Salt, Calicum Carbonate And Vitamin C (Ascorbyl Palmitate)--and it does look vegan to me. Score! Now I just have to figure out when I want to go to Walmart and dodge the weirdos (yes, there are some weirder than I am).

>39 Ape: Excellent suggestion! Except I hate mornings. I wonder if Walmart delivers. :P

Does Walmart have cameras? If they do, they don't seem to work at ours, because there's so much shoplifting (empty boxes, etc hidden in odd places). Maybe security's too busy not giving a rip.

42Ape
feb. 26, 2016, 7:59 pm

That's so funny, because the last time I went with my sister there was a huge box that had a giant Minecraft book that was empty. I don't know where they stuck that thing, it was huge, but it wasn't there. :P

It's possible they have cameras to catch people stealing but they don't have anyone actively watching, so if an employee catches the thief they'll have visual evidence. I'm sure they INTEND to have security watching the monitors, but if your Walmart are like my local store they try to hire as few people as possible. I think there are a good 20-25+ checkout lines, and rarely more than 2-3 open at once. I suspect security is similarly understaffed.

>42 Ape: Oh, people get creative when they shoplift. I even learned from a grocery store clerk that thieves stick tinfoil over certain shoplifting devices, so it doesn't make the alarm go off. My guess is someone didn't figure that tinfoil trick at Wally World out and probably stuck the Minecraft book in a jacket or in another box or something.

I'm guessing you're right on that about Walmart needing visual evidence to make anything stick if they press charges. And oh yes, our Walmart stores are horribly understaffed as well. I almost make it a point to have a book in my purse if I go there, because the lines are so long. However, some of the shoppers I wouldn't want to be caught off-guard around.

>43 MickyFine: Oh, hey, I missed you there. :) Yeah, Goodnight Already! is seriously cute. And funny enough adults will like it.

Mr. Peabody's Apples by Madonna
Tags: fiction, juvenile, picture book, historical, baseball, teachers
Rating:
Pages: 40
Synopsis: A boy learns a lesson about the destructive power of gossip.
Note(s): I saw this book multiple times at work and in used bookstores, but I never bought it, because it looked like a boring historical picture book about baseball. However, when I saw it was for sale at work, I decided to buy it, because I do love Madonna and wanted to see how it panned out; plus it was cheap. No, there's no raunchiness like Madonna's known for, but it shows more of her spiritual side, without being overbearing. The two main things I loved about it were the illustrations and the moral of the story; it even had me thinking about things I've done or said in my own life. As told to Madonna by a Kabbalah teacher:

"It is about the power of words.
And how we must choose them carefully
to avoid causing harm to others."

The One and Only Ivan by Katherine Applegate
Tags: fiction, juvenile, newbery, animals, gorillas, elephants, dogs, friendship, washington
Rating:
Pages: 320
Synopsis: When Ivan, a gorilla who has lived for years in a down-and-out circus-themed mall, meets Ruby, a baby elephant that has been added to the mall, he decides that he must find her a better life.
Note(s): This is a heart-breaking story without even trying, I guess because I know where Ivan spent most of years (the city adjacent to the one I live in), and the building/mall (B&I) was a horribly seedy place to keep any animal. Although this is a fictionalized version of his life, Wikipedia does a decent job of summarizing his life here. Reading-wise, this one is perfect for young students looking for a big book with few words, since it's double-spaced. Highly recommended if you're an animal lover.

Death Jr. #1 by Gary Whitta & Ted Naifeh
Tags: fiction, juvenile, horror, humor, graphic novel, death, museums, series, death jr
Rating:
Pages: 50
Synopsis: When a school field trip to the local museum coincides with coming-of-age angst and an overly inquisitive friend (a cute goth girl named Pandora), Junior releases something terrible on the world... and its up to him to fix it. Featuring an awesome cast of back-up characters including Stigmartha whose hands bleed when she gets nervous; Smith & Weston, two twins conjoined at the head and The Seep, a foul-mouthed, armless, legless fetus in a tube. He's your average, everyday, happy-go-lucky middle-school student... who just happens to be the son of the grim reaper.

Children of the Night = Limbo directed by Iván Noel
Tags: horror, foreign, vampires, argentina, dvd, NR
Rating:
Synopsis: Limbo is a secluded colony of child-vampires who are anything between 4 and 120 years old, all having all been victims of 'shameless' adult vampires. They are led by a formidable and deeply religious old ex-nurse whose destiny in life is to find these 'lost souls', and bring them of age in her colony. Through teaching, religious rituals adapted from the Catholic faith, and the occasional visit to local towns for blood, she is preparing them for what God had in mind for them: the replacement old the common and 'deeply sinful' human, and the creation a new race of men through 'natural cloning', or in more lay terms, their infection by her children. But they are not the only such colony in the world, nor are they as 'secluded' from outside threats as they think.

Knock Knock directed by Eli Roth
Tags: suspense, los angeles, california, artists, dvd, R
Rating:
Synopsis: When a devoted husband and father is left home alone for the weekend, two stranded young women unexpectedly knock on his door for help. What starts out as a kind gesture results in a dangerous seduction and a deadly game of cat and mouse.
Note(s): I knew this one was a stinker when I bought it, but I love Eli Roth. I guess I was kind of comparing it to the Hostel series and Cabin Fever, etc, even though I knew the plots were nothing alike. Knock Knock is definitely not horror (even though it's tagged as such everywhere); more of a romantic thriller than anything else. Probably the only people who'll find this scary are married men who have a hard time keeping it in their pants. I will give the two psycho chicks points for not harming Monkey, the family's super-cute French Bulldog, which always seems to be movie psychos's m.o. (kill the dog first).

Yuriko's Aroma = Yuriko no aroma directed by Kôta Yoshida
Tags: drama, foreign, japan, fencing, lesbians, dvd, NR
Rating:
Synopsis: 30 something year old Yuriko (Noriko Eguchi) works as a aromatherapist at an aroma salon. She uses essentials oils and her hands to soothe her client's inner well-being. Yuriko also has a secret she can't tell anyone. She gets incredibly turned on by the sweaty scent of a 17 year old high school student named Tetsuya (Shota Sometani). Tetsuya is also the nephew of the salon owner (Jun Miho). Meanwhile, salon client Ayama (Saori Hara) asks to practice aromatherapy, but her real intent is to press her large breasts against Yuriko.
Note(s): I'm still kind of scratching my head over why this is called Yuriko's Aroma and not Tetsuya's Aroma. Maybe it should've translated to "Yuriko's Aroma Festish?" But whatever. Not the point. This isn't a super heavy drama, and even the back cover labels it as a "Sexy-Comedy." Maybe that was meant to translate to a romantic comedy? Again, who knows and cares. It's not super funny, but there are parts that're amusing, like when Ayama does the same sensuous sniffing on Yuriko when she's asleep that Yuriko does to Tetsuya. Overall, I loved it. It vaguely reminded me of Kôta Yoshida's other dramedy movie, Coming With My Brother, which I also loved.

The Spider and the Fly by Mary Howitt & Tony DiTerlizzi
Tags: fiction, juvenile, horror, picture book, poetry, caldecott, insects, spiders, flies, based on poem
Rating:
Pages: 30
Synopsis: "'Will you walk into my parlor,'
said the Spider to the Fly..."
is easily one of the most recognized and quoted first lines in all of English verse. But do you have any idea how the age-old tale of the Spider and the Fly ends? Join celebrated artist Tony DiTerlizzi as he -- drawing inspiration from one of his loves, the classic Hollywood horror movies of the 1920s and 1930s -- shines a cinematic spotlight on Mary Howitt's warning, written to her own children about those who use sweet words to hide their not-so-sweet intentions.
Note(s): A cautionary tale I should probably pay more attention to. Not the easiest prose for kids, but wonderful illustrations!

Free Fall = Freier Fall directed by Stephan Lacant
Tags: drama, foreign, gay, germany, dvd, NR
Rating:
Synopsis: A soon-to-be-father policeman falls for a gay fellow officer and his life starts falling apart.
Note(s): Rarely am I into a movie where the protagonist cheats on his pregnant girlfriend, but when it's with another hot guy, then I'll admit I'm only human and really got into this movie and wanted these two guys to stay together. Fag-hag fantasy aside, I really felt bad for Marc and the stress he was under with his family and his homophobic work life. Highly recommended if you're into gay foreign movies. ETA: After looking around on IMDb, I found out a sequel is in the works to this one, which I'd be eager to see, especially the way things end between the two male leads.

Interstellar directed by Christopher Nolan
Tags: sci fi, robots, outer space, checked out from work, dvd, PG13
Rating:
Synopsis: A team of explorers travel through a wormhole in space in an attempt to ensure humanity's survival.
Note(s): I had checked this one out for my mom awhile back, but I doubt she watched it. It wasn't until my boyfriend recommended it to me that I gave it a go. Right off the top, I loved the cast--Anne Hathaway, Wes Bentley, Jessica Chastain, etc--all of them! On the downside, it was a very long movie at 169 minutes and took me several days to finish. Surprisingly, the movie does have a happy ending, considering how bleak things start to look for everyone, especially Matthew McConaughey's character. I can't say I totally understood parts of the climax between Matthew's character and his daughter, since I don't understand space travel/black holes very well, but it was still trippy fun. Recommended if you're into science fiction/outer space movies and/or are a fan of one or more of the actors starring in it.

The Grownup by Gillian Flynn
Tags: fiction, horror, haunted houses, ghosts, psychic, short story, audiobook, checked out from work
Rating:
Pages: 64
Synopsis: Gillian Flynn’s Edgar Award-winning homage to the classic ghost story, published for the first time as a standalone. A canny young woman is struggling to survive by perpetrating various levels of mostly harmless fraud. On a rainy April morning, she is reading auras at Spiritual Palms when Susan Burke walks in. A keen observer of human behavior, our unnamed narrator immediately diagnoses beautiful, rich Susan as an unhappy woman eager to give her lovely life a drama injection. However, when the psychic visits the eerie Victorian home that has been the source of Susan’s terror and grief, she realizes she may not have to pretend to believe in ghosts anymore. Miles, Susan’s teenage stepson, doesn’t help matters with his disturbing manner and grisly imagination. The three are soon locked in a chilling battle to discover where the evil truly lurks and what, if anything, can be done to escape it. “The Grownup,” which originally appeared as “What Do You Do?” in George R. R. Martin’s Rogues anthology, proves once again that Gillian Flynn is one of the world’s most original and skilled voices in fiction.
Note(s): My first Gillian Flynn book and most certainly not my last. I kept checking the book out at work, but never seemed to find the time to read it. So the obvious way around that seemed the audiobook version, which worked out perfectly, even if it did still take me about 3 days to listen to it all. (No, it's not that long--just over 1 hour--I just didn't have the time at work to listen to it all in one sitting. Plus I'm not a big fan of audiobooks, though I loved Julia Whelan's reading of the novella.) Even though I've tagged it "horror," I wouldn't say it's real horror; more psychological suspense/thriller. But anything remotely in the psychic/ghost realm, I tag horror. So if horror stories aren't your thing, rest assured, there's no creepy clown or rabid dog here. Just creepy people. ;) And it does have one of the funniest beginnings I've read--ok, listened to--in a long-ass time. I guess it's not mature of me to admit, but I started laughing when the narrator admitted to getting carpal tunnel from giving thousands of hand jobs. I'm guessing she didn't get L&I for that. ;)

HTC was the big android phone for a short while, but Samsung kind of took over with the Galaxy a few years ago, I believe with the S4. :)

You don't really need to know every brand, they are like computer, after you pick either Windows or Mac the computers are the same on the surface, just with different speeds and whatnot.

In my opinion, you guys did good avoiding Apple. They are very strict in what they allow you to do with their phones. I bought a 30GB memory card for my phone for $10 a few months ago, and I was trying to help my sister buy one for her phone, but she has an iPhone and they do not allow you to upgrade memory. You are stuck what they sell with the phone and if you need more space you have to buy a new phone.

Exactly. :) I got to play with it first (*ahem* the phone ;) and really liked it. Too bad you can't just test drive electronics before purchasing them. This was probably way before your time, but I still remember when video stores (yes, pre-Netflix) would let customers rent VCRs, so you kind of knew which brands were good, etc.

Tags: humor, cheerleading, football, prom, youtubed, R
Rating:
Synopsis: A sendup of all the teen movies that have accumulated in the past two decades.
Note(s): Only two movies watched this month: both of them starring Chris Evans. Totally not my fault, not that I'm complaining. I watched half of this one via YouTube with my boyfriend, then watched the rest at home. Very funny stuff if you're remotely familiar with 80's/90's teen movies and like gross-out humor.

Video game music can be pretty good. The best thing about playing PC games is you can steal the music files for free! :D I'm pretty sure it's legal, I mean, I bought the game, and the files are on my computer, right? I mean, sure, they encrypt the files so the average person won't know they are there, but I'm sure there's an innocent explanation for that. >_>

Anyway, my favorite video game "soundtrack" that I've found on my PC is Unreal Tournament 2004, but I don't have them on my current PC. I'd have to install the game and re-stealgrab them. If I ever do that, I'll send a few samples your way, if my internet will let me. :)

183saraslibrary
maig 30, 2016, 1:14 am

>182 Ape: Oh, it's totally legal. If you can access it, then it's yours. :)

Yeah, I would love to hear the samples. I've never heard of the game, but no matter. Thanks!

184Ape
maig 30, 2016, 7:26 am

Totally! And never mind that I had to download freeware to crack the encryption. Still totally legal! :P

Unreal Tournament 2004 is an old PC shooter. It doesn't have a deep story, so there is no real theme, which means there is a huge variety of levels. Normally, for example, a shooter might be a "WW2 shooter" in which case most of the levels have to be inspired by 1940 Europe, or a sci-fi shooter where all the levels have to be futuristic. Unreal Tournament doesn't have a theme like that, so the levels are all over the place. You'll be playing in a futuristic robot factory in one level, then a rusted out junkyard in the next, and then a primeval jungle after that. The reason I'm telling you this is because the music varies a LOT. Each level has it's own background song, so you go from spacey sci-fi electronica to music with heavy metal guitar rifts.

Anyway, I'll send you a few tracks.

I'm visiting - It takes a while with being busy at work and preparing to be the PTA president next year - but I skimmed through your thread and found some talking points :)

>23 saraslibrary: I love Dumb Bunnies
>43 MickyFine: I also love Ernest the Moose Who Doesn't Fit - one time in the preschool classroom with had a dad come in and read to the kids and his name was Mr. Ernest - so we asked him to read this book - the kids loved it and I found it silly that Ernest was reading about himself - also his son's name was Ernest - so after dad left Ernest took the Moose book and read it over and over and over - so cute
>73 saraslibrary: WOOT WOOT! I got a mention
>108 saraslibrary: I HEART Deadpool
>119 saraslibrary: ooooooooh that looks interesting
>181 saraslibrary: Maybe I will try this one with the Troll - at this point I try anything I think the Troll will read

All the mentions of new cell phones and I'm all like damn I'm so behind - the last cell phone I bought was in 2003 - and had it for a little over a year before it broke and I didn't opt for a warranty - haven't had one since - the struggle is real

>185 lovelyluck: I'm glad you stopped by! :) I know how busy life gets. And president? Congrats! That's awesome.

Mystery in Bugtown was pretty good. I loved the giant moveable eyes the best. I honestly don't remember much of the story now. *shrugs*

The Troll would love it. :) It's super cute and short.

You're not behind on cell phones. Some people still don't use them. I was actually one of those people that poo poo'd smartphones. But I was spending more on my Tracfone and internet, so I went ahead with a smartphone. Oh, and I already broke the lens on it. Woo hoo! So see? It's not all good. You still have a landline though, right?

The game was super addicting for me, but it's old now, and the graphics are pretty simplistic by today's standards. This is an example of the graphics quality. Really fuzzy and lacking in detail.
