Okay, I realize that we still have over six months until, but details are starting to show up.

Looks like we're back to the last weekend in September (September 24th this year.)
Joyce Carol Oates and Stephen King are on the author list so far...

Anyone else got commentary, etc on the festival as it approaches?

Wow, the lineup is already looking great! I saw several besides Oates and King I'd like to see.

I'm going to be out of the country from the 15th to 30th of September, so I won't make it :-(

Can someone save me a seat for Stephen King...now?! 😏

I'm probably going to skip it, since it's now much easier for me to visit DC in the summer, and since I didn't love the switch to the convention center.

September 24th is also the opening date of the brand new Smithsonian National Museum of African American History and Culture so I wonder how that will affect turnout at the National Book Festival. In the past when the National Book Festival was on the National Mall I would have said it would boost attendance at both, but not anymore.

With a lot of changes in my life recently, I'm looking at 50/50 odds of going this year. Most will depend on fian... er girlfriend..

My daughter's future mother-in-law is a librarian (now retired) as well so we're both set for life! Haha!

Important news. They're requiring tickets to get in to see Stephen King. (I'll put this in both threads, to be safe. :) )
