David, some time ago, I used to get e-mail notifications telling me when volumes had been shipped and were on the way. That hasn't happened for a long time. I can always find out by logging onto the subscriber site, so it isn't really an issue, but I thought that feature might possibly be restored when LOA's new web site was unveiled. It hasn't happened.

Is e-mail notification supposed to be happening routinely? If yes, then for some reason, I'm being left out of the fun.

I recently subscribed and find the online update very helpful. I am not getting an email, either, but didn't know it was offered at one time.

Other than spoiling the surprise of which volume is being shipped each time, it could be useful. In any case, I found I couldn't wait and logged in, and found out the specific title, anyway.

I do get emails telling me my order has shipped, both for automatic subscriber shipments and purchases I make, so not getting emails is clearly not universal.

I am getting my emails for shipping as well.

I'm betting there's a setting in the online account profile that I'd not seen when setting it last.

>5 elenchus: It has been a long time since I looked at my account profile, so when you reminded me of it just now, I looked. If there is anything there about opting in or out of e-mail shipping notices, I can't find it.

I do not get e-mails, either....

The only notification I have ever gotten from LoA shipping books has been a hit to my credit card. But I actually enjoy the mystery of it (I could log in and look at my account to see what was shipped). I truly enjoy coming home to see a brown cardboard box from LoA on my stoop every couple of months without expecting it.

>1 Podras.: et al.

There are a number of reasons why you haven't been receiving shipment notification e-mails or why you may have stopped receiving them, but the only way for us to know for sure is to look at your account. So if you do want to receive these e-mails (or resume receiving them), send an e-mail to Customer Service at info@loa.org

Thanks.

>9 DCloyceSmith: I just got a response from Customer Service. (I should have thought to ask them about it before. Duh!) Apparently, there is an "e-mail notification" toggle that they have now turned on for me. Thanks again.

You used to be able to tweak your subscription / postpone / restart regular subscriptions online. I can't see this on the new dashboard. Am I making sense or am I going mad? "-)

It's under "Subscriptions". Click the underlined "Edit Preferences". Right below the "Payments Due" line.
