I feel guilty, I haven't posted here for a while.

Too much Olympics.
Well... There were my two, dead asleep on the 2 better chairs and I decided to fondle them. I touched their ears, their whiskers, their nose...
NO response! A slight twitch...But...but...but...

What does this mean? Am I so much part of the furniture that my caresses mean nothing? I would like to say that they love me. I want some CAT PSYCHOLOGY thoughts.

Your (human) thoughts?

Guido.

Guido, if you have been a cat owner for awhile I'm surprised you are taking it personally. You know they are aloof, finicky, and will completely ignore you when they feel like it. They're just being cats.

Mine love me to death. Complete with being aloof to petting, yet leaving me that wonderful wet gift of a hairball by my bed for me to slip on when I get up in the morning...

Did you forget that you are not supposed to address royalty unless they have indicated that you may do so?

My old cat always responds to me at least a little. My young cat (2 years) has finally reached the stage where I can often touch her without bleeding. In fact, she will growl when she's had enough. That's a huge breakthrough! Maybe soon I will get a purr out of her :)

I think you're looking at it wrong. It's an opportunity to love on them when they're too comfy to move! :)
