Phrases like "Books by" and "Recommendations for" are well nigh impossible to translate, when the target language use postpositions for "by" or "for". Please change these to "Books by $1" and "Recommendations for $1".

Good point. I presume you're talking about Korean? I'll start looking for these, and putting the SUB1 in.
So far I have
Books by
Recommendations for
Let me know what else you see?

"Combine with" -> "Combine with $1"
"Show all" $1 "X" -> "Show all $1 X" (in SOV languages "show" should come after "all $1 X")
I will report as I find more.

$1 "total" -> "$1 total" (in Korean "total" would come before number)
"private notice" "posted by..." (in Korean "posted by" would come before "private notice")

How about just when it goes...
Title by Author?
That's everywhere, I fear. Must it be, basically Title Author by?
Unfortunately "by" is the snippet, not "by SUB1"

I can live with "Title by Author" untranslated. (And I think most Korean users can.)
If I back-translate the idiomatic Korean expression, it would be "Title, Author's writing".
