The only thing as good as reading a good book is talking passionately about it with friends!

So let's start the month!

I've watched Spider-Man: Homecoming and the film is great! The Vulture became the best villain in any Spidey movie!

I've been catching up with Kurt Busiek's Astro City. Volume 14, Astro City: Reflections coming up next. It's nice to have the series on a regular schedule through Vertigo.

I continue with my manga addiction with the series Psyren, Tegami Bachi, Bleach and Golgo 13. I'm also reading a lot of European stuff lately, like Jacques Tardi and Boucq, who draws beautiful artwork for authors like Jerome Charyn.

I am slowly working through the Fables books, finishing Fables Vol.1, Fables Vol.2, Fables vol.3 and Fables Vol.4.

For those who still doesn't know this series, the first book presents the main characters and their motivations, but from the second book on the interations between the fables starts, with the shadow of the Adversary over them (which cast the fables out from heir homelands).

This first phase of the series is pure gold!

Just picked up My Favorite Thing Is Monsters from the library, and so far I'm enjoying it very much.

I've finished the first 3 volumes of The Campbells which shows us the life of a golden hearted ex-pirate and his two daughters living a Robin Hood-esque life, while slices of flashbacks are shown building up his history, explaining the main events and preparing for the clash with his nemesis Inferno.

The art of Jose Luis Munuera is a missing link between Asterix and Disney and, while there is no commitment to Historic accuracy, this book is all about action and adventure in the tradition of the European comics.

I am waiting for the next books!

I've been enjoying the third Paper Girls and Elektra The Complete Collection.

>11 I, too, just read Paper Girls, Vol. 3. I really like how they do the coloring on this series, and I always like Vaughan's writing.

>12 Ditto, Euryale. Vaughan is really on a roll with this and the Saga series, isn't he.
