I really need to read something from my ABC list, but I haven't decided which yet. I also have several candidates from my own shelves to read, register and release.

Since I'm reading The Goldfinch by Donna Tartt, and this book is over 700 pages, my goal will be to not give up on this book until I finish it (unless I don't like it). If I finish this book, if I reject it completely, or if I'm still reading it by month's end. I will have completed my goal. If I toss it aside, half done to get back to it some day, that will be my goal NOT completed. Ready?...Set?...Go!

My small goals for March are:
- get a better reading month than February (only 1 book finished, and that was 2-stars!)
- get my balance between in and outs back! I received a lot of parcels and also bought some books while abroad, so the ratio unfortunately exceeded 1. I have entered lots of sweeps as a send-only, so this one looks doable
Wish me luck!

From my ABC books, I only managed this month's roundabout book, but I did finish and register a few older ones from my own shelves.

Results :)
My reading month was better than February (which was easy, considering how bad February has turned out )) ) - check
I still struggled with keeping in/out balance - at the moment it's barely below 1 - check with comments :)

My March goals result:
COMPLETED To not give up on The Goldfinch until I finish it (unless I don't like it). If I finish this book, if I reject it completely, or if I'm still reading it by month's end, that is my goal. ~ I haven't given up because of the book's size. I have about 100 pages to go and am still reading it.

>7 SqueakyChu: I'm eager to see your April update for this book! Did you manage to finish it?

>8 mathgirl40: I did. I finished it! All 771 pages of it. I didn't love it. I liked it. I hated the characters except for one kind older man. The writing was superb, and that was what kept my interest up. I would recommend it, but with a caution to whoever wants to read it: If you find you're not liking it, it is too long to waste your time on. If you like the story continue to read through to the end. I would read another novel by this author, but I hear My Little Friend wasn't that great. I did love Donna Tartt's The Secret History.

>9 SqueakyChu: Congratulations on finishing the book! I did like the book very much myself, but I'd listened to an audiobook version narrated by David Pittu, who is an excellent narrator.
