We will be visiting our daughter in The Netherlands in the second half of August and taking a side trip to Copenhagen. That will be the perfect time to read a book from my ABC stack: The Keeper of Lost Causes by Danish author Jussi Adler-Olsen. Apart from that, I hope to finish a few more books from my shelves to register and release.

>2 mathgirl40: Have a great trip. I hope you enjoy the Adler-Olsen book; I really like that series.

We are also planning on taking a trip some time in August. We haven't been out in our trailer at all this year because of one thing or another so it's time to get it rolling and to introduce our new puppy to the concept of camping. Sometimes I get a lot read when we camp but with a puppy to entertain I'm not sure that will happen this year. But I am going to try to read 5 books from the TBR pile this month. And I'm starting on one today so that's a step in the right direction.

I'll be heading down to Floyd, Virginia,USA, to tour the area and to attend a wedding celebration which will be a barbecue in a field. I'm very much looking forward to this trip.
I'll continue reading and hope to finish at least FIVE books this month. I finished one of the five today. That one was a library book called What Set Me Free. It's to to be a movie called "Brian Banks" due out next month. The thought-provoking story was about a black California student who was imprisoned at age sixteen for six years after wrongly being convicted of raping a fellow student.

>5 SqueakyChu: That's a pretty part of the country. I've passed through several times on my way to Roanoke. I understand there's a large music festival held there.

>9 iwillrejoice: Yes. I won't be there for the festival, but on Friday nights, they play music on each corner of the street (very small town). We’ll get to experience that. i am very much looking forward to the trip.

I'm trying to read some more books to release on my travels. Working on the 52 Towns in 52 Weeks Challenge. Will be heading to Massachusetts, New Hampshire, and Maine at the end of the month.

I hope those of you who were travelling enjoyed your journeys this past month. I just returned from our two-week vacation in Europe. We attended my daughter's Masters thesis defense and visited a few cities. The book-related highlights were:
- Visiting the studio in Ystad, Sweden where Henning Mankell's Wallander series was filmed.
- Reading The Keeper of Lost Causes by Jussi Adler-Olsen, set in Copenhagen, while we were in that city.
- Reading Tumbleweed by Janwillem van de Wetering, set in Amsterdam, while we were in that city. This last book was an unexpected RABCK from Passeur-X which fortuitously arrived just days before the start of our vacation. Of course I had to take it along!

I almost made the goal I set. I didn't finish the 5th book until Sept 2nd but I'm still pleased.

>12 mathgirl40: I've never been to the Scandinavian countries so I envy you that and I particularly envy that you saw where the Wallander series was filmed.

I did it! I finished not five, but six books! I also had lots of fun at the wedding I attended in Floyd, Virginia.
