I have my copy ready.

I've been slowly making my way through the Lord Peter Wimsey books...next up for me is Murder Must Advertise, so maybe I'll join you all later in the year!

I just borrowed an audio version of Whose Body?. It's probably not the version I would have selected if both had been available, but hopefully it will be fine. I need to finish my current audio book first!

Ooh, ooh! I've not read any of the Wimsey mysteries for probably 40 years, with the exception of The Nine Tailors. I've starred this thread and plan to join you all as reading time allows.

I read Whose Body in 2018 and have been planning to read more ever since, so I'll pick up in February with Clouds of Witness. Pretty excited!

I've started listening to Whose Body? - I've read it several times, but never listened to it. It's quite a different experience!

I couldn't get Whose Body? on any form of audio from my library, but this version popped up as a $1.99 purchase on Audible. It turns out there are no fewer the 9 versions available - I wish I'd seen the other options before I got this one. Still, it'll do.

Making a comment to bump this up.

I read Clouds of Witness, our February book, in 2011. I decided I wanted to listen to it. There are 2 copies with 6 people waiting ahead of me. Expected availability is 7 weeks, but I suspect it may be longer.

I don't want to pay for an Audible membership, but I went to Amazon and found a used CD copy of the full cast BBC radio drama for $2.69 with free shipping. This looked like an enjoyable option so I ordered it. I should be able to listen in February!

Wow. Not only is our public library not open for the next two weeks, but they don't have a copy of Lord Peter Views the Body! That is one of the series that I don't own, that I need for the April read.

But openlibrary.org does, and I'm next in line on the waitlist.

If my library ever reopens I will get to Lord Peter Views the Body. I see it is short stories which is why it isn't in my collection.

My husband and I have been binging on the Lord Peter Wimsey DVDs, and enjoying them immensely. Thank you to whoever it was who mentioned the flicks. Ian Carmichael is wonderful, the episodes are sharp and evocative. We're currently halfway through the "Murder Must Advertise" set, so I'm playing catch up with the reading, but the film version is remarkably close to the book.

I've watched both the Ian Carmichael set and then the Masterpiece set with Edward Petherbridge. Ian Carmichael was charming but a little goofy, and Petherbridge showed a little more of the darkness (granted, there's not much of it) in Wimsey's character. I really liked the Masterpiece set because of the concentration of the episodes on Wimsey and Harriet Vane. Loved them all, and I can certainly see watching them again.

Ian Carmichael played Wimsey in the Harriet books when they were serialized on Radio 4. I wonder if those are available to listen to anywhere. I recorded them when they were broadcast but of course that was on tapes, useless now!
