easy-reader's ROOT for 2020

50 books to start with; the rule (as I'm sure many here have made for themselves) is: "No new (purchased) books until the ones we have are read"! I'll be back with a list of the ones I'm tackling now. Only half a year now to finish them, and I'm working on organizing the home library at long last (any suggestions about *that* topic would be gratefully appreciated!!) Welcome to the ROOTers, Easy-reader.

You are right about making your own rules. Everything is okay by us.

Good luck.

Welcome to the group!

I remember when I worked on cataloging and organizing my home library.
I found these great Shelf labels which really helped because I could mark each shelf for genre and whether they were TBRs or not. I gave each shelf a number and then I tagged each book for the shelf number. Now when I'm looking for a specific book, I just check here in my collections and I know exactly which shelf the book is on. If it's a TBR and I read it, I then move it to another shelf that has only READ books. But for me, definitely segregating the read from the TBR was important. I'm hoping I will eventually have very few ARDs (real books or as I call them, Antique Reading Devices) on my shelves that are designated for TBRs.

Good luck with the project!
