Is there a way to scan text (ISBN, call number or title) to find a title rather than the barcode. (Most books I need to enter don't have barcodes.)

Not at this time, though if you have an ISBn create a CSV file to upload. See the Import section for more details

I have the same issue.
Many many books that are pre-ISBN-13, pre-barcode, or pre ISBN-10.
Is there any way to integrate with an OCR scanner that can read the titles?
Is there any such thing as a bookshelf scanner that I can wave on a row of book spines, and have it match with my LibraryThing library to find misplaced or missing titles?

>3 brycenesbitt: are you asking for a magic wand?

Not a magic wand.
Just optical character recognition, either for the ISBN (just numbers)
or spines (harder).
Big libraries use RFID tags for the same purpose https://www.fetechgroup.com/live-scanning-wand/

A bit late, but I wonder if you are aware that you can scan the ISBNs. You can buy a CueCat from LT or I believe there are others that will work too.
