Non-fiction disaster reporter on psychology of leadership in crisis

The book was published between 5 and ten years ago.

The author is a reporter (male), but I don't think this was his first book.
I don't think he was a war correspondent per se, but he had covered a lot of disasters and crisis situations.
I *think* American or Canadian, but has a nordic sounding name (Sven? Jorgen? Pedersen?).

The book is an exploration of the different styles of leadership that emerge from crisis and disaster. But it's NOT a business/management type of book.
I remember reference to the Chilean mining disaster (and how while they were trapped, the men divided into factions adopting different strategies for survival); I remember some discussion of the types of people who will run into a burning building to save others...

I'm afraid that's all I've got.

I hate Covid brain.

Thanks for any help.
