Deodorizing your books

Does anyone here have any suggestion with respect to deodorizing your books (in the event that one or more of them are malodorous, probably due to being stored in a damp environment by the seller). some of the methods recommended in that thread are potentially problematic from what i have read elsewhere. Putting dryer sheets in between the pages of the book can damage the integrity of the paper in the long run according to some people. I have only two books which have this problem, one LEC and one non-LEC. (I would have thrown or given away both of them if they would have been cheap, but they are not.) I've segregated them and I am using the method suggested in this video on the non-LEC book:

We'll see how it goes, but at least i know the book will not be damaged. I also read elsewhere that exposing the books to sunlight (for upto one hour at a time) may also help and i'll try this in the summer.

They need to be used dryer sheets.

Once I've cleansed my LEC For Whom the Bell Tolls (and one other somewhat expensive non-LEC book) of its odor, would it be ok to put it with my other LEC books or do i have to keep such books segregated perpetually?
