Good day, can someone tell me how to post to tags?

Tags are part of your book entry. You can enter them on the edit book page; on the add book page they can be entered before you search for the book, or after you have chosen your entry. There are ways to do it in Your Books. The important thing is that they are always connected to your entry.

Is there a way to add tags from the iPhone app?
My main reason for getting this (kind of) software is to be able to FIND the couple thousand books that are stored in multiple shelves, multiples deep in two different buildings.
So at least one tag was going to be a shelf ID.
And scanning the books with the ISBN scanner from the phone is lovely, works great.

But then I had to find the second 'Edit' button on that screen, the one at the bottom, not the top. (Better labeling please.)
And that just takes me to micro-font land, displaying a full desktop web page on a 5" screen.
So lots of zooming and scrolling to find first the 'Tags' edit control, and then, more zooming and scrolling to find the non-button control marked 'Save.' (Better control type here please.)
Then 'Close' to get back to the original iPhone screen to scan the next book, then return to the desktop web page to add a tag, which isn't saved from the previous session because that session/web page closed.
Oh, and the web page won't rotate with the iPhone, so I can't even use the slightly wider landscape view of the page.

Remember, the main reason for trying LibraryThing is to be able to locate all my books.
Have I missed something on this iPhone/Desktop pair?
I could scan every book on a shelf with the iPhone, quickly, and then go to the desktop and...what?
Find all books that have NO tags, making the assumption that those are the ones I've just scanned from one shelf, and somehow tag them all at once...how?

I'll stop here, maybe look at a few other applications.
I understand Librarything has a good Import feature.
Maybe I'll do all this in some other app with a feature set that better meets this need, and then see if that data can be exported back over to LibraryThing.
Because adding a book now and then, sitting at the desktop while scanning it in with the phone app, would be simple.
But doing a couple thousand like that is going to be a...well, is not going to be.
