A 10lb wall-piece with a current bid of USD 10,701.00 at a charity auction is out of the question for me but a Limited Edition Giclée Print on Museum Quality Paper is not.

This item is not related to books and is certainly not the 'fine' or 'private' sort. But given the wide range of off-topic discussions and eclectic nature of members in the FSD group, I wonder what you make of the end result of a 16"x20" artists' panel that passed through 8 YouTubers located across the USA, Slovakia, Germany, Norway and Australia for more than a year as they left their art on it.

I could think of better things to spend $10,701 on. Quite a few of them in fact. The large number of contributors shows.

Interesting. A comix jam, basically. I haven't watched all the videos but part of me (the Illuminatus! Trilogy, chaos-loving part) quite likes the idea of this.

But does it make good art?

It is bright and colourful and, to me, quite attractive but, beyond the chaos, it doesn't really seem to have any particular message. Which is fine but I won't be buying. And I've never heard of the charity concerned so I don't know where the money is going.

P.S. It may not be related to books but I think I see a few literary references. For example, is the raven from Poe or Sandman?
