Cannot, for the life of me, find this. Here’s a list of details I remember. Please help!
-Protag was a woman
-She married a man in the book
-Cover was a woman in the red dress, sitting in a chair, holding a knife hidden behind her (I think face wasn’t visible)
-She originally joined the war effort as a medic or other general helper, and was drafted to a secret but official organization of female spies
-They trained for a while
-All members had to keep it secret from EVERYONE else
-She was put behind enemy lines for espionage multiple times
Now, some other details that I think were this book but may have been another book
-Had children- the first time she gave birth, it was a bad experience, but the second time, it was better
-Children in a foreign country
-Raised on an estate
-Something about fostering children who needed it due to the war. Maybe her, maybe her mother.
