Recs for if you love KJ Charles?

As the subject says, I love KJ Charles's books, and I'm looking for recommendations for other authors I might like. Some of her books that I particularly enjoy are Band Sinister, the Sins of the Cities series, Any Old Diamonds, and The Gentle Art of Fortune Hunting.

Although these are all queer historical romances, I'm open to a most settings and relationships, because I don't think that's the thing that makes me love these books so much. I love the diversity in the characters and the quality of the writing and probably other things I can't put into words.

Fwiw, I've read and liked Courtney Milan's books, and I'm kind of iffy on Cat Sebastian's.

Thanks!

I'm not familiar with that author, but try putting the name in on this site - will give you good suggestions:

Like you, I enjoy Charles writing but not so much Sebastion (or Chambers, another historical romance writer oft recommended). Are you still interested in recs?

Joanna Chambers? No, I didn't like hers, either.

I am absolutely still interested in recs! Some other books I've found that I have liked are the Magic in Manhattan series by Allie Therin and the Whybourne & Griffin series by Jordan L Hawk.

ZOMG Whybourne & Griffin

Have you tried The High King's Golden Tongue? By Megan Derr. It's the start of a fantasy romance series (all are standalone though).

ETA:
very fantasy, silly but sweet: The Lightning-Struck Heart by T.J. Klune, plus his more recent stuff.
no fantasy only historical: Mrs. Martin's Incomparable Adventure by Courtney Milan.

I totally agree with the Widdershins (Whyborne and Griffin) series. They are on constant re-read for me. Presently I just started a re-read of The Magpie Lord which is part of another KJ Charles series. If you haven't read this series I'd recommend those as well.

Another series I really enjoy which is more urban fantasy/ghost story type is the Psycop series by Jordan Castillo Price.
