Young Queens

I am about half way through Leah Redmond Chang's book "Young Queens: The Renaissance Women and the Price of Power." Although this book only tangentially touches on Elizabeth I and her England, it does portray three other contemporaneous Queens: Catherine de Medici of France (dowager queen of France), Elizabeth de Valois (Catherine's her daughter and wife of Philip II of Spain), and Mary, Queen of Scot (who was the widow of Catherine's son King Francis II of France). The book is well-researched but not a difficult, dry read. I find it gives good insight into what it meant to be a woman of power in the Renaissance world.

Any other thoughts?
