4,000 Books Registered (Oh My!)

Today I've registered my 4000th book here on LibraryThing and to mark the occasion I'm giving a book each to four people.

To qualify you must be a current member of the BookCrossing Australia! Group here on LibraryThing and a Bookcrosser. You'll also need an Australian postal address.

To enter please visit my Bookcrossing Bookshelf and select four (or more) books which I have set as 'AVL' or 'TBR' - Please make sure the status was set by me.

Once you have made your choice post your selections in this thread - I'll choose one book to read and I'll contact you directly to get your address.

You may pick a book which has already been chosen by a previous entrant, but please select at least four books which haven't been selected yet.

If you edit your post, the time of your entry will be set to the time of your edit (so if you post before you've chosen your books you might still be beaten to the punch)

I will endeavour to read and post all books within four fortnights (i.e. two months) of today.

This draw will close once four winners have been selected, or after twenty-four hours have passed.

I made it to #4030 on BC last night. Registered some books I've been meaning to get rid of since this time last year. The book was The Face of Eve by Betty Burton - journal #7143715 on BC.

It didn't occur to me that I was near a significant number or I might have made something special #4000. As it is, it turns out to be A Crack in Forever by Jeannie Brewer - BC #7143684.

Those two titles aren't bad though.

4,000 registered at bookcrossing is very impressive (I have less than half that number over there)

I've just spent the morning tweaking my LT library to incorporate the new 'collections' feature.

I've excluded "released" books and all Audio CD items from my main library, giving a final count of 2998 books.

Yes, I'm having fun with the collections too! Taking bookcrossed and library books out of "my library" and putting them in "read but not owned". There's an awful lot of timewasting ahead of me here, while I workshop what new collections I want. :)

Having problems with the paging though - I click on "next" while viewing my library and I lose the collection and am just in the main collection. I'll post it on bug collectors if no one else has picked it up yet (but I'm sure someone has already).

I've had trouble with paging too. if you select the collection you want to work in from the dropdown menu at the top left of the 'Your Books' screen it should work properly. usually.

I'm down to 727 from 909. But it'll be up two, since the bookshop down the road had another couple of books on their sale table that I couldn't walk past today! The horror! The horror!!

1000 is in my sights, even if it's rather vague and distant so far. :)

I just put my comics in their own collection so now I'm down to 2559. I think 1000 is well-and-truly out of my grasp though.

Well, for your total collection you can still aim for 10,000 I'm sure. :)

hopefully not, though my total includes released books so I might end up there one day...
