I just wanted to say thanks to Annette for inviting me here. I was excited, because I didn't even realize there were groups here. I hadn't done much digging on this site just yet...

Anyway, I thought it would be nice to do introductions to get to know you guys, since I'm new. :)

I'm Shannon, I'm 27, single with 2 cats, and I live in Ohio. I grew up in PA, but I ended up here after college. I'm an editor at a publishing company, and I love reading and writing. And I love Jesus!

:) Shannon

Hi Shannon, welcome. I'm a 43 year old mother of three teenagers. Their father and I have taught them at home. One has graduated, two to go. We live in Northern California. I'm the librarian at our church, love to read and search for eternal truths in all my reading. Yes, I love Jesus too!

Hello, MrsLee, nice to see you. I'm ~that precarious balance from piffle and LordPeter. Annette has just invited me. Well, actually she invited me last week or the week before, and I hardly get a chance to look at LibraryThing these days.
My name is Christy; I'm a 25-year-old Master of Divinity student and library cataloger. I'm from Montana, but I currently go to school in Missouri. I'm obsessed with reading, writing, and theology, all of which I combine in my blog, "Musings on Spirituality and Theology": http://emmetofarolis.blogspot.com/

I must be the old one here but I have enjoyed LibraryThing very much and have not been involved much in blogging but am warming to this site. I am 54 with two grown boys and have been active in my church as a lay person, and sometimes refer to that as being "in the pew." I am involved in a local federal facility with weekly chapel services and have found that very rewarding. There are some very dedicated men and women that quietly give a ton of their time to the guys searching for answers behind bars.

I'm a late-comer.

My name is Tom Gee, I'm 39 years old, happily married for almost 11 years, with two delightful kids whom we are homeschooling.

I'm part-time at seminary, working on my MDiv, and will (Lord willing) graduate sometime in the next 3 years. I'm currently working in software development, but am responding to God's call to pastor and training to that end.

Right now I just need to survive 3rd year Greek! (Final exam tomorrow!)

Congratulations on getting so far in Greek! I'm only in my second year myself, but I love it.

#7-Got you beat agewise. I am a 64-year-old soon-to-be great-grandmother! Live in Kansas. Am a retired math teacher. Love Jesus, my family (spiritual and physical), and reading/owning books.

I teach two Bible studies for adults, but my greatest joy is teaching Sunday School for 5 and 6 year olds. I know that age is critical to planting the seeds of confidence in Scripture and learning the way of salvation. My husband says I appeal to them because I become so "young" when we sing the action songs! (I think it's because I love them so.)

hey guys! I'm a 33 year old guy, married 10 years this past August, have four children(ages 9, 7, 6 and 2), live in Michigan where my wife and I grew up. Was in the military for 4.5 years down at Ft Bragg jumping out of planes. The Lord graciously saved me in the Army, moved us back up north when my term was up and has us corporately worshiping at a small reformed Baptist church in Plymouth, MI. I serve as one of four elders, have taken a few classes at the Seminary down the street in Plymouth and am getting ready to go back in about two weeks. Taking Spiritual Formation. I hope to add Foster's Celebration of Discipline to my booklist along with Boa's Conformed to His image when I'm done with them(textbooks for the SF class). I hated reading all my life until the Lord saved me. Now, I can't stop. Help! lol. So glad I've found this site and am very encouraged to see so many believers using the tool as a way to encourage each other. Praise the Lord!
