Tagging books to trade

This sounds like a great idea! I'll need to go through my books and maybe add some that I was planning to give away without even listing on LT. Is everyone going to use "For Trade", or just "Trade"? And are we going to include condition?

I already have a Wishlist category - that's not a problem. *lol*

I think probably "For Trade" or even "Trading Post" would be good. Aren't there 'trade paperback'? I think we probably need a very distinctive tag that no one would use except for this.
Since I found LT I have been going thru my books and adding them. I have 3 or 4 boxes of 'get rid of' ones that I wasn't going to put on here. I dread the thought of adding those now too, but books are people too.....they all need a good home and someone who loves them even if they have blemishes!! ;-D

I just went through my library and marked about fifty with the tag "for trade". This is the tag we are all going to use, right? Just wanting to double check, because it won't work very well if we don't all use the same exact tag, and when I did a library thing search on the tag "for trade", nothing came up...

Ok, I just went to search through other group members tags to check which one they were using ('for trade' or 'trading post'), but was surprised to discover that no other group member seems to have any such tags... is this a glitch the library thing system, or is it just that no one else has had the time to tag their libraries yet for trade?

OK, I've got 27 books tagged For Trade. It's a strange mix of three different libraries so there isn't any real rhyme or reason to the books. ;-)

I have additional books but they aren't in the best shape so I didn't post them. They're paperbacks and the pages have started to turn yellow or the covers are pretty beaten up. I'm assuming we're going to stick with books in Fair+ condition.

I just finished tagging some books "for trade". I was having trouble with the tagging feature not letting me re-tag. I will put more trade items in from BookMooch. Most of my books are used but good condition. The older editions have some yellowing or wear, so e-mail me to get detailed condition descriptions.

Looking through other member's tags, no one has any showing as marked "For Trade". When I look at my tags, I can see the ones marked. Is this a glitch, does anyone know?

I tagged mine "for trade" but I run into the same problem as seemingly everone else - I don't see for trade tags on anyone else's books. Anyway, for the time being, my books are available to anyone interested. I have a number I haven't removed that are about to be sent out to bookmoochers, but I'll get around to it.

I will use the for trade tag as well. As far as the condition goes I think that that is an issue that can be discussed once interest is show, as opposed to including it in a tag.

I see this group is dormant for about a year now, however I decided to join. I marked my books "for trade" as suggested in this thread. Normally I trade on BookMooch but if you are in US we can trade directly. For overseas, I will only use BookMooch.
