Has anyone read Robert V. Remini's book A Short History of the United States? If so, what did you think of it?

I'd be interested to hear too. I revere his biography of Jackson.

I've read it. It is perfectly fine as surveys go. I thought it spent a little too much time on the Clinton and Bush II eras. Truly objective histories cannot be written in real time. Wait 25 years.
