I was wondering if you are also a member of the 999 Challenge and you read 9 Vampire books can you also count that as having met your goal in this group too? Or do you need to read 9 different Vampire books? I was just curious and thought I would toss this question out there to everyone and see if there are any specific rules for the Paranormal 999 Challenge.

I'm not sure I understand the question; but if you read 9 vampire books, then it would complete the Vampire section in the Paranormal 999 Challenge. You would also need to read books in the other 8 sections, though. I hope that answered your question and wasn't too confusing! :) Good luck with your 999 Challenge, btw!

I had another question. Would re-reads be okay to count for the challenge? I have a couple books I want to re-read this year that I read many years ago that would fit in with this challenge.

I'm not the moderator, but in my opinion, re-reads would be OK. :) If I didn't have so many books in my TBR pile, I'd do the same thing.

I think this challenge is supposed to be a lot simpler than folks think. I believe each person who is taking the challenge is supposed to figure out what sort of rules apply. If you think re-reads count, they count. If you read nine vamp books and want to consider that as filling your obligation to both the regular 999 Challenge and the Paranormal 999 Challenge, it counts. Simple.
